Contact us

support@torvagame.app

The quickest way is Settings → Help & Legal → Contact support in the game: it fills in your player ID, app version and device for you. If you email from elsewhere, please include your player ID (Settings → Account → Player ID). We usually reply within a couple of days.

Your account

Do I need to sign up?

No. Torva makes an anonymous account on your iPhone the first time it goes online, with a handle like Saltwick-4821. To change your handle, go to Settings → Account → Handle. Your first change is free; after that you can change it once a week.

How do I keep my progress safe?

Your progress saves to the cloud whenever you're online. To be able to get it back if you lose or replace your iPhone, link Sign in with Apple in Settings → Account. It should say "Linked: your progress is safe".

How do I move to a new iPhone?

On the new iPhone, open Torva, go to Settings → Account and sign in with the same Apple ID you linked. Your handle and progress come back. You can sign out old devices from Settings → Account → Devices.

I lost my iPhone and never linked Sign in with Apple

Sorry: your account lives in a key on that iPhone, so without the Apple link we can't move it to a new one. If you still have the old iPhone, open Torva on it and link Sign in with Apple first.

Where's my player ID?

Settings → Account → Player ID (tap to copy). Include it when you email us so we can find your account.

Can I play offline?

Yes. Solo play with your bot crewmate works offline, and a solo run can be paused and picked up later. Playing with others, cloud saves, leaderboards and purchases need a connection.

Purchases and restore

What are Pearls for?

Pearls unlock heroes and skins sooner. Every hero can also be earned with coins you win in play, and Pearls never buy power.

How do I restore my purchases?

Settings → Store → Restore purchases, signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. Your purchase history is on the same screen.

I paid but didn't get my Pearls

Make sure you're online, then close and reopen Torva: the purchase is finished the next time the app can reach our server. If that doesn't work, try Restore purchases. Still missing? Email us your player ID and the order ID from Apple's receipt email.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles all App Store refunds: go to reportaproblem.apple.com. If a refund goes through, the Pearls or starter pack it paid for are taken back, which can leave your Pearl balance below zero until you earn or buy more.

How do I stop a child buying Pearls?

On their iPhone, go to Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions → iTunes & App Store Purchases → In-app Purchases and choose Don't Allow, or use Ask to Buy with Family Sharing.

Deleting your account

How do I delete my account?

In Torva: Settings → Account → Delete account, then type DELETE. Your account and progress are deleted straight away and can't be recovered. Deleting the app alone doesn't delete your account. More about deleting your account.

What happens to my purchases?

Pearls and anything bought with them are deleted with your account and aren't refunded. If you start a new account, restoring purchases brings back the starter pack's skin, but not its Pearls or coins.

Playing with friends

How do I play with friends?

Tap PLAY, set your crew to Friends, and tap Invite on an empty spot. You can share an invite link, copy your crew's code, or invite a friend who's online. Up to eight can sail together; the leader picks the mode and map and sets sail.

How do I join a friend's crew?

Tap their invite link, or open Torva, tap PLAY, choose Friends and enter their six-character code. Codes work for as long as the crew is open. If an invite link opens this website instead of the game, make sure Torva is installed and up to date, then try the link again or enter the code by hand.

Can I play with people I don't know?

Yes: set your crew to Fill with players and you'll be matched with others. If nobody's found within about 90 seconds, bots fill the empty spots.

How do I add a friend?

Tap any player in your crew, the results screen or your Recent players, and choose Add friend. Your friends, requests, recent players and blocked list are in the crew button at the top of the screen.

It says I need to update

Everyone in an online game needs the same version of Torva. Update from the App Store, then try again. Solo play still works while you wait.

Reporting and blocking

How do I report a player?

Tap the player (in the lobby, your crew, the results screen, or your friends or recent players) and choose Report, then pick a reason: their name, cheating, harassment or something else. We review every report and can reset a handle, mute quick chat or ban an account.

How do I block someone?

Tap the player and choose Block. Blocked players can't invite you or join your crew, and matchmaking keeps you apart where it can. Unblock them from the Blocked list in the crew button.

Is there chat?

Only quick chat: a set of ready-made phrases like "Thanks!" and "Help!". There's no free-text chat, so strangers can't send you messages.

Something serious happened

Email support@torvagame.app with the handles involved and what happened. If anyone is in danger, contact the police first.

Everything else

Which devices does Torva run on?

iPhone, with iOS 18 or later.

How do I report a bug?

Settings → Help & Legal → Report a bug sends us your message with the app's recent logs, which helps a lot. Or email us.

My iPhone gets warm or the battery drains fast

In Settings → Graphics, try Battery saver. It runs at 30 frames a second with fewer effects. The default, Auto, steps down by itself when the iPhone gets hot.
