About the game
The Gloam has rolled in off the sea, and every light on the coast has gone out. Torva is a co-op horde-survival action RPG for iPhone: pick a hero, gather a crew of up to eight and hold back hundreds of monsters until dawn.
You steer with one thumb while your weapons fire on their own. Every level-up is a choice, so each run builds an arsenal of its own: evolve weapons, fuse two together, and chain elements into combos as the horde thickens and a Herald, a boss of the Gloam, comes ashore. Play solo with a bot crewmate (even offline), with friends by invite link or code, or with players from anywhere.
Eleven heroes sail from Port Haven, from Morwenna, the old lighthouse keeper with her storm lantern, to a rocket-mad signaller, a nun who sings the tide, a frost witch, a gravewarden who raises the drowned dead and a gull-calling harbour kid. Each brings their own weapons, signature ability and skins. Between Nights the town grows, and the Voyage, a hand-made sea chart with a story, takes the crew out to relight the coast.
Features
- Eleven heroes, each with six weapons, a signature ability, a trait and skins.
- Online co-op for up to eight, by invite link, code or matchmaking; or solo and offline with a bot crewmate.
- One-thumb controls: weapons fire automatically; dash and signature buttons can be set to auto.
- Weapon evolutions, fusions and elemental combos.
- Heralds: bosses with their own tricks, like the Tidewitch and the Wrecker.
- Port Haven, a hub town that grows: forge, tailor, tavern, chapel and a practice pier.
- Detailed pixel art with dynamic lighting, on a custom Metal engine running at up to 120 frames a second.
- Free to play and fair: every hero can be earned with coins, and no power is for sale. No ads, no tracking.
